The children learn about other countries and cultures in our world. The children have a weekly Italian lesson.
Each week students participate in dance and drama activies in a fun and engaging way. They use their bodies to express themselves and have the opportunity during Performing Arts to perform infront of their peers or work together to create dramatic moments.
Each week the children are given the opportunity to borrow books, develop their library skills and enhance their appreciation of literature. Children can borrow from the library at lunchtimes. Children also have a regularly timetabled block of Library lessons to support classroom lessons.
Each week for two terms, students participate in a games-based physical education program designed to develop skills, team work and problem solving strategies. Students also have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of sports and competitions.
Columba provides a range of extra curricula activities and intervention programs to support individual learning. These include EMU, Levelled Literacy Intervention (LLI), extension programs, lunchtime clubs, incursions and excursions.
